All people permanently residing in Vinland fall into two categories, the most common being residents; those granted the right to reside in Vinland on a permanent basis but don't contribute to the state, or have access to public services nor suffrage. Vinland emphasizesemphasises direct democracy and has no official representatives with one notable exception that being the foreign minister, whocitizens interactsare withappointed otherby nationstheir and is expectedpeers to keepfulfill thecertain citizenryroles informed.when Theneeded, positionsuch ofas foreign ministeraffairs isor anhead elected one with a term lasting two months. Amerikkalainen currently holdsof the position, with the next election to be held on the 5th of November, 2018millitary.
