Vitelia had a poor reputation due to drama; arguments on Discord; more drama with raiders in Maltovia; association with [[FRIENDS]]; former Lexington members being high ranks in Vitelia; and involvement in a war with [[Vinland]].<ref>https://www.reddit.com/r/civclassics/comments/ad8wxa/building_bridges_making_friends_the_end_of_vitelia/</ref> They also had wanted players from Lexington playing on alts which annoyed Hjaltland. There were also suspicions that Vitelia alt-raided various neighboring towns. The war was started when it was uncovered that Vitelians were giving gear to banned players on VPNs, these players alt raided the [[Chanseatic State|Chanseatic state]]. FollowingBoth theSATO releaseand ofChanseatic theState video,agreed Hallowto left FRIENDS on January 4th of 2019,skybridge the alliance collapsed shortly after. Columbia, Hallow, and the Holy Jaded EmpireVitelia foundvault NATOtogether.
