Prussia was founded on a small peninsula in the shallow +,- quadrant, which would later be dubbed Sigmaringen Peninsula, named after its settlement, [[Sigmaringen]]. The Prussians settled the southern half of the L-shaped land, which was surrounded by a narrow bay to the east, south, and west. To the north, the peninsula connected to the [[Gensokyo]] mainland. The entire peninsula is composed of a forest biome, some beaches, and the oceans surrounding it.

The entire peninsula is composed of a forest biome, some beaches, and the oceans surrounding it.

The Sigmaringen peninsula features several shallow sandy banks along its coasts, making for easy polder building. The eastern sandy bank was turned into a sizable farming and flower polder in the first week in order to gain more land and resources for further construction. The peninsula also featured numerous pointy outcroppings made of dirt and stone, which were termed "[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menhir Hinkelsteine]". The outcroppings were not large enough to build upon but were a slight nuisance during the ongoing construction of Sigmaringen. One solution to the problem was to use the major ring of outcroppings in the center of the peninsula as a "tub", flood the space between them with water, which was in turn turned to stone by dumping lava on it, layer by layer. This turned the tub of outcroppings into a single, monolithic plateau upon which [[Castle Sigmaringen]] is being constructed. Several original outcroppings still remain on the peninsula and are under the strict protection of the "Freunde der preußischen Landschaft und vorpreußischen Bauten e.V." (FdpLuvBeV), or, the <nowiki>''</nowiki>Fellows of the Prussian Landscape and Pre-Prussian Constructs, Registered Organisation<nowiki>''</nowiki>. The organization also protects the last known naturally-generated pine tree on the peninsula.

Despite being mostly a forest biome, vegetation was sparse upon settlement. An artificial forest was planted, covering most of the unfarmed and unused land along the peninsula. The expansion of the forest to the mainland is being considered.
