The '''Commonwealth of Nyasaland''' was the previous incarnation of the historical territory of Nyasaland. Nyasaland was first settled in mid 2017, and soon proclaimed a Republic under the Nyasan Constitution. Nyasaland prospered for a time under the Republic, building the city of Palgrave, developing surrounding areas and holding cordial relationships with all neighbours.

On 4 April 2019, Nyasaland entered a new era with a massive political reformation with the enactment of a new Constitution, and the declaration of a Commonwealth of Nyasaland. The Commonwealth only lasted until the 18 May when the Queen Syurii started to remove Baron Benny from the vault groups. BennyZ who was online at the time realised what was going on and was able to save most of the important groups and the stolen groups were fixed after a few hours of work. On 22 May, BennyZ and cat_alunya proclaimed the establsihment of the [[Nyasaland|Socialist Federal Republic of Nyasaland]], effectively ending the Commonwealth of Nyasaland.▼
