New Agora was a city located on the Agoran Continent in the central +/- and was the capital of the Agoran Federation in [[CivCraft 1.0]].
The city was built on the ruins of the former AnCap-city [[CivcraftImport:Cities/cresemopolis|Cresemopolis]], when [[CivcraftImport:Cities/old agora city|Old Agora]] was abandoned by it's citizens due to an attack by the Al Kaowni terror cell, which resulted in most of the town being destroyed and covered in IRO.
As of April 18th 2013 New Agora was the third most active city in CivCraft with a score of 103 on the [[CivcraftImport:Cities/cai|City Activity Index (CAI)]], and remained one of the most active places until the Apocalypse.

The City of New Agora was located on the Agoran Continent at the coordinates of 3304,-2104. It consisted of multiple snow- and desert biomes, as well as a forest biome, a swamp and a jungle. The continent was divided by the Rio Panto.
The city of New Agora provided free plots to all it's citizens for both residental and commercial purposes. The standard plotsize was 15x15 blocks, although it was common for the city to hand out double plots to it's citizens (15x30). However, the sizes did vary from place to place.
The city was divided into numerous districts, each tended to by a superintendent appointed by the Secretary of the Interior and a Representative appointed by the Speaker of the House.
Some of the notable districts were:
'''The Old Tribunal District''' - The "center" of New Agora, contains most of the first buildings built there, including Agora Tower, FnMart (a fully-reinforced obsidian obelisk reaching to y256) and the personal residences of most of the latest Council.
===The Old Senatorial District===
This district contains the houses of many of the city's founding members.
It contains some of the oldest buildings in the city, and was intended to house the leaders of the city, but the residences there are no longer mandated by political poisistion. This district also contains a large amount of federal land and embassies. The embassies include the following: Valentie, Trotskygrad, bay city.
===The Swamp District===
Formerly a wasteland, later one of the fastest-growing residential areas in the city. It was founded by NukeJay, who was also hard at work constructing the Agora Amusement Park nearby, which had never been completed.
===The Honecker District===
Mainly residential plots, also rapidly expanding. Last known sighting of head grumper billwilliams before his untimely disappearance. District so-named in honor of the planned and subsequently abandoned Honecker House.
===The New Agora University Campus===
Contains all of the academic buildings of NASU. This includes the NASU Library, arguably the most common reason cited for visiting New Agora - it contains copies of many major works of literature and history, comprising a broad but by-no-means comprehensive history of Civcraft lore.
===The Trade District===
Agora's main hub for trading and shopkeeping to the east of the city. It was built by Farley50, who was also responsible for the central commerce building. It was argued that the district was too secluded to be a success.
===The Agora Hills===
New Agora's most prestigious and expensive suburb, but also one of the smallest population-wise, Agora Hills is the location of the city's larger mansions, manor and estates. It contains the residence of the city founder, pantostado1066 and features a beautiful park that cascades through both hill and snow biomes. It's founder is Tambien_Sinclair.
===The Docks===
The Docks has been one of the earliest districts in New Agora. It was originally constructed by NukeJay with the help of Phrek and Pantostado1066. It was later maintained by the superintendent Samhudson, who managed to pull in many new residents. Towards the end of the server, the Docks mainly harboured newfriends.
===Riverside===
Riverside was the most recent districts before the Apocalypse occured. It was created by Summoner and the 'Outcasts' the far edges of the city on the oceans front. It only included one house and a tower and was complety disconnected from the main New Agoran districts with no paths connecting it. It was also the site of many drama surrounding the pearls located in the IRO Vault in it (Refrence Notable Events).

The City of New Agora and the Agoran Republic is a constitutional representative democracy with authority vested in a council of five who are elected on the 15th of every month. The council positions are as follows:

* The '''Minister of Fun''' ''(FunMinister)'', a non-offical position that was created and only claimed by a few government officials and citizens to actually existing. It's purpose was to decorate the city and add more 'fun' to the city. The Minister of Fun did not follow any government ordiance and only had one single person 'voted' in. The first and only Minister of Fun was Summoner, however this claim once again is not supported by the law.

After being forced out of Agora (now Old Agora) due to the damage done to the city and the threat of the Al Kaowni returning, the citizens of Agora took to the sea to find a new home.

Nearby settlers such as FnDragon and AgentMuu caught wind of the establishment of the city and were quick to join and donate resources to the town.

The ruins of Cressemopolis would serve as the new University Campus and new residental districts were built to the east of the town.
Once arrived the residents of now New Agora quickly recovered from the shock of Agora's destruction, most of it's original citizens made it to the new city.

Although this is one of Agora's most memorable 'dramas', it should only be a foretaste to what the people of Agora would experience in the future.
The grand influx of new people and the occasional local drama made it clear to the government officials, the current state of the constitution was no longer sustainable.

The constitution and the current positions were tweaked. The position of the mayor was now chancellor, the senator was now speaker of the house, the tribune the secretary oof the interior, the consul the secretary of peace, and the dean the secretary of education.

The first four cities to be part of the federation were New Agora, Old Agora, Rift and San Mateo.
After the HCF came a player named Summoner entered the city and became a citizen who followed his own rules. Summoner proceeded with some civilians and outsiders go build the district of Riverside far on the cities edge where they built an IRO vault there. After some minor dramaa that Summoner brought with him, the major one occured when one government official told Summoner to pearl another person because they were annoying. Summoner (who seems to folow things to a point sometimes) decided to follow it and pearl the player and put them in the IRO Vault. This caused a standoff where people were negotiating the release of the man in the vault, however some players decided to put the law in their own hands and fought to pearl Summoner and put them away forever. Lightning and Chemistry put Summoner inside a vault to hide while everyone stood outside, but the large crowd outside busted in and waited for the crinimal to log back in. Sometime in the night Summoner logged back in with some other players and proceeded to walk away back to Riverside.

This once again left a standoff where noone would go near Riverside under the fear Summoner would either run or fight back. Sometime in the night Agg and Orike walked into Riverside and open up the IRO Vault and free the player inside, then everyone forgot about Summoner and walked away. Summoner proceeded to sue Agg for the damages done and the court ruled in favor of Summoner. Everyone proceeded to ignore all the crimes Summoner did and noone really cared what happened. The End.
