======<nowiki>= DoxxingDoxing =</nowiki>======

DoxxingDoxing is defined by the Oxford Dictionary as the:

* Search for and publish private or identifying information about (a particular individual) on the Internet, typically with malicious intent.

The Administration takes doxxingdoxing very seriously and will focus on three main attributes in any case of doxxingdoxing:

# Malicious intent
Line 26:
# Availability of information

The first two points should be fairly self explanatory. The last point however requires some clarification regarding information freely given by the doxxeddoxed individual. '''If you release personal information voluntarily to another individual then it does not qualify as doxxingdoxing.''' We live in a very connected world and personal information control is the responsibility of every internet user.

======= Name Change Policy =======

As most Civcrafters know not long ago Mojang gave players the ability to change their names. To avoid the mass impersonation and anonymity such a feature would bring to Civcraft we, the administration, locked every player who had ever logged into Civcraft with their original name. This has also given us the capability to change the names of players and whilst we have only previously done so in a handful of extreme cases of doxxingdoxing, we are now also planning on expanding that to include names that include content that harasses other players. This change of rules is an attempt to bring both subreddit/forum policy regarding usernames and harassment in line with in-game usernames and harassment policies.

We are only changing what we consider are the worst of the worse.
