Ufirstaftame

Ufirstaftame, also known through Reddit and Discord accounts as Mindless_Gap_688 and Yoshi Toranaga respectively, is a Newfriend having joined at the end of October 2021.

Early Days

Ufirstaftame spawned within the Sussex Empire and built a hut there, not knowing much about the server or the land that he was living in. He was given gifts of food by an unidentified local and welcomed. After a few weeks he met Gb223s13 who was the only person he remained in regular contact with. Although he did not know it at the time, Gb223s13 was during this time already organizing the seceded and nascent Avalonian Empire. Ufirstaftame was guided there and became an Avalonian citizen.

Governorship of West Avalon

In mid-November 2021, Ufirstaftame left his home in Avalon to explore the West Avalon Exclave where there wasn't supposedly much around. He found the half finished remains of the settlement called Valhalla, and the small hamlet of CWCville. After expressing interest in civilizing the region, he was granted the office of governor there. His first administrative acts were to rename the settlements into something more becoming. CWCville was renamed to Heorot, named after the hall in Beowulf, and Valhalla was renamed to Petra Nova, because he intended to build the mesa settlement in resemblance to the ancient city of Petra, Jordon. He then realized that another unmapped civilization, the Caldari State, occupied the end of the peninsula, northwest of Heorot. Uncertain whether this was the remains of a former state or whether it was a squatter commune, he matched their marked boundaries with the Heorotian Wall to assert the boundary against encroachment. Likewise to the island south of Heorot, he was unable to identify the civilization that built the structures there, but knowing that the island was within the current and legal land claims of Avalon, he posted signs of inquiry with the expectation that if there was no reply within a week he would formally occupy the island to ensure that it would not be illegally developed.
